Vintage stoneware crock with lid. Cheese crock/ pot, jar by Sarreguemines from France Obernai Foie Gras Terrine / Cheese Crock . Pattern has girl with geese on 2 sides embossed. There are satyr heads on 2 sides used as small handles. Originally these were used to cook with a little hole in the lid for the steam to escape. Nowadays they are used for butter, sugar, spices, herbs or anything.
