Covered tureen with cover and raised bottom decorated with "RYS Fortuna" on a gold leaf banner. The RYS Fortuna was a wooden schooner built for Adrian Elias Hope (1845-1919) by G. Inman at Lymington, circa 1876. She was registered at 192 tons and measured 130 feet in length with 25 foot beam.
The dish has an intricate blue border with a foliate leaf design.
