Fabulously stylish cottage chic willow oval-shape basket adorned with wooden beads and a sturdy wooden bottom finished with stylish bent rattan ear handles. Handwoven by a Philippine basket artisan, the eye-catching design consists of two rows of wooden beads that have been woven into the ribs of the basket using an over and under randing technique; oval pedestal base provides a boost of height. It measures from handle tip-to-handle tip 15½” wide, 13½” without the handles. Height including handles 10¼”, without handles 8¼”; depth 11½; interior 10½” x 7½” x 7½” W/D/H; weight 1 lb. 9 oz. Handwoven from natural willow which has aged to a burnt umber hue with chestnut undertones; solid stained wooden bottom; wooden beads; bent rattan ear handles. In excellent condition with little to no age-appropriate wear; makers country of origin on the underside. A whimsical beauty with both visual and textural interest that would serve nicely as a centerpiece basket with freshly cut flowers, a cachepot for a cascading ivy or spider plant (faux or live) or storage in a guest bathroom.
