This is a Japanese pottery pitcher made in the style of work from Mashiko Village in Japan.
The potters' early Buddhist training in this area restrained them from marking their pieces up until the mid-century. This piece was part of a collection of Mashiko ware.
This pitcher is masterfully designed and glazed with a shiny brown drip pattern around the body & a dot detail on the handle & opening. It has moss ombre color that transitions to a more golden green.
