The Abstract Expressionist fine art poster is published by The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University on the occasion of the " Frankenthaler : The 1950's " exhibition. Printed in The United States in 1981 in an unnumbered limited edition by Trig Graphics, Inc. It features an artwork image originally created by Frankenthaler in 1952-53 titled " Open wall ", copyright 1981 Helen Frankenthaler.

Helen Frankenthaler ( 1928 - 2011 ) is an American Abstract Expressionist painter of a liberal Jewish background, and is a major contributor to the history of Postwar Modernist painting. She exhibited her work for over six decades, spanning several generations of Abstract painters while continuing to produce vital and ever changing new art works.

Her work has been the subject of several retrospective exhibitions including The Museum of Modern Art New York, The Whitney Museum, The Jewish Museum, and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She has been exhibited worldwide since the 1950's, and was awarded The National Medal of the Arts in 2001. Artworks by Frankenthaler are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums

The rare out of print framed Abstract Expressionist large format exhibition poster print measures 39 7/8" W X 21 1/4" H X 1 1/2" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern satin finish natural white oak wood museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling.
