This is one of the nicest clay folk art sponge wear bowls we have curated. It’s because it has a very thick composition which is on display around the rim. Quite substantial and very well executed by the artist who placed the year and their initials on the underside (BBP). The finish is a French blue over the gray clay with glaze. The bowl is perfect as a serving piece, especially at causal outdoor dining. It also displays very well when not in use.
