They are originally from … Read more This is a very RARE set of 5 antique botanical orchid chromolithographs that date to 1896-1907. They are originally from Brussels, Belgium. They are from a collection called "Dictionnaire Iconographique Des Orchidees". The chromolithographs were originally designs and aquarelles by A. Goossens. Each plate is numbered and has the specific botanical orchid name. We are presenting them in the given mats as per our purchase of them. The botanical plate can be easily removed if so desired. They are done in soft pink color hues and showcase exquisite detailing in the petals and stems. Zoom in to see this. These are EXTREMELY appealing and make a very beautiful grouping as a set of 5. They are even more beautiful in person. Please note that 4 are in horizontal format, one is vertical. 7.25 x 5.5 inches in plate size. (Mat size is 13 5/8 x 9 7/8 inches) The images are in very pristine antique condition. See less
