Original hand-colored engraving from “Medical Botany”, a medical reference published in England in the early 1800s. Each print featured a plant, herb or fruit with medicinal properties. The accompanying text provided specific characteristics of the plant, details on where the plant is found, and notes on the plant's medicinal properties.
