We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning early 19th century Italian Baroque Venetian Style Walnut Figural Window Bench with late 19th century needlepoint upholstered seat. The scrolled side rails/armrests supported at four corners by full-bodied hand carved Putti/Cherubs with scrolled volute ends. Bench has floral carved skirt with incised cross-hatched decoration. Acanthus & scrolled carved legs terminating into hand carved feet that are reminiscent of a ballet toe dancer. This wonderful window bench could also double as a cocktail bench with a tray placed on top. The entire frame is exquisitely hand carved showing great detail to Putti's/cherubs heads, hands, body & feet. One could also remove the needlepoint cover, save, and make a pretty pillow & recover the bench in a new fabric. So many options for this really fabulous Baroque Walnut Bench hand carved in walnut from the early 19th century. Elegant Intrigue.
