This pair of large bronze Meiji Era chargers features silver and gold overlay. The focal points are applied bronze raptors with gold overlay beaks, eyes and feet. Flowers and pine branches and a crane make up the surround of each bird. The gold overlay is clear, but the silver is more subtle because of tarnishing.
