The fine art lithograph print is printed in Italy in 1959 in an unnumbered limited edition by The Hyperion Press Milan, as part of an Italian portfolio of Paul Klee lithograph prints titled " Klee : Gallery of Art Series ".

The Modernist lithograph print features an artwork image originally created by Klee in 1918 titled " Zoological Gardens ".

Paul Klee ( 1879 - 1940 ) The Swiss born artists is attributed to creating some of the most original and colorful paintings of The Twentieth Century. Klee was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. His work reflects the styles and ideas of Symbolsim, Expressionism, Cubism, as well the simplicity of The Bauhaus designs. Art works by Klee are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The lithograph print plate image measures 8 1/2" W X 6 3/8" H, on a page that is 13" W X 9 3/4" H. The print is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on the top side edge. There is unrelated text on the reverse back side of the page that refers to a different artwork image from the portfolio.

The rare out of print fine art lithograph print is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling to the page backing. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
