Hand embroidered and quilted textile from North India.
Large Mughal silk and metal threaded tapestry,
Fanciful Asian folk designs this distinctive quilt work is a true sense of artistic freedom.
The majority of the border is comprised of alternating floral silk borders quilted in alternate colors fuchsia, red, orange, green and maroon.
Heavily embroidered with gold threads, sequins and pearls, very intricate artwork.
Such features in design and execution are a hallmark of these embroideries from India and great textile art in general.
The patchwork pieces are backed with black linen fabric, great artistic collage from Rajasthan.
