The Pop Art poster print is published by Te Neues Publishing Company, New York, Te Neues Verlag, Kempen, Germany and Kunstverlag Schumacher, Dusseldorf. Printed in Germany in 1999 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features an artwork image originally created by warhol in 1983 titled " Endangered Species : Grevy's Zebra ", copyright 1999 The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Inc.

When the state of our planet and the fate of its inhabitants became a cause alarm, Warhol created artworks to reflect that concern. His 1983 " Endangered Species " Portfolio represented a new subject matter for him. The complex and dazzling color combinations make the animal images so irresistibly beautiful that one cannot help becoming involved in the environmentalist message conveyed.

In 1983 Warhol created a series of artworks that portrayed endangered animals from around the world. Using brilliant colors characteristic of his signature style, and poignant expressions suggest the animals fate, Andy created a dynamic tension between art and reality.

The rare out of print collector's framed Pop Art poster print measures 23 7/8" W X 31 3/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern slim profile detail museum box style matte eggshell finish black metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and very light minor surface wear.
