About The Poster: This poster was created by the Chemins de Fer D'Alsace et du Lorraine to encourage travel and tourism to Les Trois Épis (the three wheat stalks) in the Province of Turkheim.
According to veritable Michelin Guide "Boasting a prime location, Les Trois-Épis, a designated health resort, is the ideal base for countless excursions. Head to Le Galz for a view over the Alsace plain, the Black Forest, Sundgau and the Jura. At the summit, a huge monument commemorates the return of Alsace to France in 1918. To better understand the flora that covers the slopes, follow the St Wendelin forest trail. Equally, you could aim for Labaroche, home to a fascinating museum, the Musée des Métiers du Bois et du Patrimoine." Voila! Who could resist such an incredible description?
The poster was designed by L. Gadoud and displays his traditional style - deep, vibrant colours, strong lines and overall elegance.
Poster is unlined, in overall excellent condition. Pinholes in the corners, a minor tear mid-right margin, one tear left margin, very minor loss top left corner (please see photos) - all of which will disappear when the piece is framed.
From a private collection.
