There is so much to say about this interesting piece. Believed to be a reproduction and made of mahogany, it is heavily carved and Baroque in style. The top is flat and accommodates a large candle or plant and the base is substantial, resting on three feet. The column features reeds, acanthus and swags.
Some say these were used for Paschal candles in churches, but it seems rather tall for that use.
We love this in front of a long window or to fill that special corner in your home.
Width at the bottom is 27”, the top surface is 8”w on the very top and 10.5”w under the plate.
The tulipiere is not included.
