Large Arts and Crafts Shield Trophy with Nike the Goddess of Victory
The is a very impressive Arts and Crafts piece, the Golden Oak shield has a large silver plated mount, in the centre there Nike the Winged Greek Goddess of Victory celebrating with outstretched arms each holding a Laurel crown, the is set in the centre of the shield surrounded small cartouche for the winners name most of which are unused
This is a great trophy dedicated sales Trophy for 1923 between J W Henderson Ltd and E Mathews & Co
The shield has a stand at the back, it is in good sound condition though ought
The shield is 34” tall, 26” wide and 6” deep
