Joan Miro Composition Sculpture II Color Lithograph from the magazine Derriere le Miroir 203 from 1973. Provenance was that the piece was professionally framed in the 1970's per the family of the estate it was purchased from. Piece retains the original gallery tag on the back. Measures framed 29.25 L x 23" H x 1.5" D. Lithograph is 22" L x 15" H. Unsigned piece but is noted in several catalogs online as a Miro Artwork. Piece retains a light crease through the center that I assume came from the Magazine it was originally in. Frame has some light separation on one corner that is pictured. Examine pictures for complete details.
"Derrière le Miroir is a French art magazine created in 1946 and published until 1982.
Aimé Maeght was the founder, editor and publisher.
The magazine covered only the artists exhibited by Maeght gallery either through personal or group exhibitions.
DLM were printed to the edges with french text (essays and poems) on verso and unsigned as issued although some of them were signed by the artists and others edited as Deluxe Editions with signatures on justification page"
