Joan Miro Derriere Le Miroir 1956 Cover Lithograph for Derriere Le Miroir 87-89 (DLM, Miro / Artigas). Cover as originally issued; otherwise in seemingly good condition, unexamined outside of the frame. Has light crease down the center from the original magazine presentation. Measures Framed 28.5" L x 21.25" H. Lithograph measures 22" L x 15" H. Provenance from the family of the estate it was purchased from was that it was professionally framed in the 1970's by a gallery in New Jersey.
Excellent condition with the slight crease down the center. Frame has light wear from age and display. Piece is signed in the plate.
"Derrière le Miroir is a French art magazine created in 1946 and published until 1982.
Aimé Maeght was the founder, editor and publisher.
The magazine covered only the artists exhibited by Maeght gallery either through personal or group exhibitions.
DLM were printed to the edges with french text (essays and poems) on verso and unsigned as issued although some of them were signed by the artists and others edited as Deluxe Editions with signatures on justification page."
