A Scandinavian art pottery vase. The vase mimics a classical amphora form with elegant Art Nouveau curved handles on either side. The decor imitates natural marble so the vase appears to be carved out of stone. The luster glaze artfully combines a multicolored palette of golden coppery orange and glossy greens and purples with white accents. The glaze is called Loistomarmori which translates to magnificent marble.
Very good condition with a black printed factory APA tower mark on the base (used between 1917 and 1927), number 167. The vase measures 7 in. height x 6.75 in. diameter.
Beautiful condition with no flaws noted.
