This French Empire style burl walnut bureau plat writing table has simple, graceful lines, a gilt embossed black leather top protected by a brass surround, and three drawers with brass fittings and mounts. The desk was sourced from a lovely estate in one of the wealthiest towns along Connecticut's Gold Coast.
