Offered is a mid 20th Century, circa. 1960s, Japanese bronze vase embellished in turquoise and verdi-gris patina known as Murashido - a centuries-old technique that involves dipping the hand-cast metal vase into hot oil and chemicals that is then smoked with colored rice that results in a swirling, mottled and distinctly unique effect.
The vase measures approximately 4.75" in diameter at its widest, has a flat round base that is 1.875" in diameter, has a mouth that is 1.125" in diameter, and stands 8" in height.
