Just in, this fabulous Black Luster Finished Terracotta, Hand Sculpture Table Lamp, by Jean Marais (1913-1998)
C.1960s
Jean Marais is well known as a French actor and companion of Jean Cocteau.
Later in life Jean Marais started doing pottery in the South of France in Vallauris also became a sculptor and ceramist and this lamp is iconic of his work.
Very good vintage condition, consistent with age and use, no chips or repairs.
