A fantastic and regal 19th century French Louis XV style painted fauteuil, recently reupholstered in plush, deep orange velvet with gold trim held securely in place all around with well-patinated brass nailheads. The painted gold armchair frame is carved with exquisite craftsmanship and features intricate cross-hatch designs, florals, rosettes, acanthus leaves and vining.
