These special and unique hats are part of the uniform of students studying to become officers in the French Military. This is a highly unusual and heavily ornamental cap making it sought after by collectors. This cap features a black leather brim on black felt. The top is blue felt with a silver braid in the shape of a cross and silver braid around the frame. The hat also features alternating gold and silver bands with a silver band across the brim finished with silver studs. The final touch is a gold embroidered emblem on the front. 6.25"w x 10"d x 4.25"h. Wear consistent with age and use. See less
