Chinese porcelain dragon meiping, a plum shape vase with a yellow glazed exterior, interior and inset base, with umber highlights. The body of the vase is decorated with five, finely carved and detailed, five-clawed dragons cavorting amid a dense ground of stylized clouds. The neck is decorated with a band of leafy lappets with a band of curling vines below, bracketed by trim lines. The shoulder of the vase is decorated with a large band of ornate Ru Yi lappets. The foot is decorated with a wide band of ocean waves and spume, interspersed with stylized mountains. All artwork is done in a low bas-relief. A six character, Qianlong, reign mark in Zhuanshu script is finely carved to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa mid century or earlier.
