this design was designed by joseph maria olbrich around 1898 and for the music room of dr. Friedrich victor spitzer used. Adolf loos used a very similar chair in 1900 in the turnowsky apartment. Michael/josef niedermoser maintained a close relationship with olbrich and showed a different variation of the armchair for the paris exhibition in the same year (1900). Other similar models can be found in the lower moser archive of the museum of applied arts (mak) in vienna (inv.-no.: h 2149-3 / ki 14182-196), or in the victoria & albert museum in london (inv.-no .: w 15 - 1982).
