There are rubber or plastic tips on the side of the prongs to avoid scratching the glass. One prong is marked with the patent number 2937793, which is attributed to Nelson F. Cornelius on May 24. 1960. It may have been a revised version of the Wagenfeld Max & Moritz set from 1953. See less
