Academic study, student work, life drawing full length portrait of a muscular nude male, standing pose, frontal view. Unsigned. Measures 23" x 17 3/8". Unframed. In overall good antique condition for age and type, rough deckle edge, there is some deterioration at the bottom right corner visible in the photo. Drawing from live models was part of academic 19th-century art training, still to this day, as well as a way that artists typically made preparatory studies for paintings. See less
