This handmade metal trinket box features a beautiful bronze-colored finish. The top surface showcases wonderful, dimensional oriental-style engravings, which depict two birds surrounded by florals and greenery, all set against a mountain backdrop. The intricate oriental motif truly makes this item stand out.

Stylized birds are engraved on the sides of the box as well. The lid is a lift-off type; it is not hinged. There are no markings or stamps on the piece, and we believe it dates back to the Meiji Era (early 1900s). The materials consist of mixed metals with a bronzed exterior.

The box measures 1.75 inches long, 1.25 inches wide, and 1.25 inches tall.
