An amazing piece of Japanese 19th century ceramic art, this circa 1890 bowl has a royal Satsuma era mark and shows exquisite enamel painting work with a highly detailed peony flower and butterfly with a spray of lilies around the outside side of the piece.
The decorative antique Japanese bowl is in excellent condition for its age showing very light wear consistent with its age and use.
