A very attractive Mid Victorian burr walnut writing desk (Bonheur De Jour) with ormolu mounts throughout. The serpentine front is ebonised which frames the beautiful walnut veneers. The boxwood inlaid decoration is mainly on the super-structure and the main drawer, which comes with working lock and keys as does the upper cupboard. The brass galleries finish off the desk and it is nice to see that they are still intact whilst doing their job of containment. All cleaned and wax polished.
