The travel poster print is published by United Airlines, printed in 1985 in an unnumbered limited edition for the " United Vacations : Hawaii " campaign in the summer of 1985. It features a beautiful Contemporary style artwork image in a gorgeous vibrant multicolor palette created by the artist Pegge Hopper.

Pegge Hopper ( B. 1936 ) is an American California born graphic designer and artist who studied at The Los Angeles Art Center College of Design. In the 1950's she worked for the famous Raymond Loewy Associates designing advertising for high-end department stores in New York City and Milan before moving to Hawaii in the 1960's as na agency art director.

Inspired by historic Hawaiian culture, Hopper began a prolific career as a painter. The artworks characterized by flat planes of saturated colors, accents of tropical floral, featuring most prominently lounging Hawaiian female subjects have helped to define and shape the world's view of Hawaiian lifestyle for decades.

The rare out of print framed collector's airline travel poster measures 22 1/2" W X 28 1/2" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern grape purple-blue satin finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition consistent with age, and very light signs of handling.
