The Jade is carved from a translucent celadon piece with white inclusions that doesn't even quite look like Jade but is as hard as Jade. The box is extremely well carved and the sides are less than 1/8 Inches or about 2mm thick. The surface is dappled from finishing and the piece has a bespoke wood base. We're unsure of the age but believe it might be early, it came from an Estate with very good things and came in a Yamanaka & Co. Chicago box.

Condition: Very good condition. Some small fleabites and frits on the edge of the lid.
