Family scenes, auspicious cranes fly over a new born infant in a garden setting, traditional landscaping and swirling clouds, detailed gnarled old pine trees and immortals in the heavens above.
Ovoid in shape with high shoulders with 'ruyi' border, decorated lid with a miniature landscaped theme, pale blue and pink lower lappet borders, ruyi border around the top. This very special and heavy piece is in very good condition.
The base is unmarked and this jar was most probably made in the Late 19th/early 20th. Century & has the necessary ceramic inclusions, good enamelling and trimmed base.
