This lovely French commode dates from the Louis Philippe period (1830-1848). The walnut sideboard features a stepped canted corner top over two spacious hand dovetailed drawers.
Below, a pair of cabinet doors open to reveal interior shelves of French oak, and plenty of storage space. The lower cabinet doors can be locked with an original skeleton key. The commode features beautiful burled walnut veneer, and rests on an elegant plinth base with stepped ogee block feet.
