This is a 1-of-1 handmade in Quincy Massachusetts
This came up with the idea for this lovely bed while we were pet sitting for a friends pooch named Zara. A few weeks later while searching estate sales and market place I came across an infant changing table and a beechwood table top. I then searched for pictures of crowns and came across one with my favorite shape, the heart. A stencil was created and I went to town creating the headboard and finishing it off with a hand carved heart. The pillow and pillow case is included and any long bed pillow will fit this design. This like all of my custom pieces was created from vintage furniture and upcycled wood items.See our page for many of my other mashups and creations. Everything is made and finished by hand just south of Boston Massachusetts
This bed was finished with 5 coats of commercial grade water based flooring polyurethane for maximum durability
The rails and sides are made from red oak and the back was crafted from beech. The water based polyurethane will keep the headboard from the typical yellowing over time as well as keeping the side rails a light pink of sorts See less
