Finest grade of gold application (looks to be mercury gilding which was the most expensive way of gilding bronze decorative objects in the 19th century) with crisp sharp detailed casting of each sconce (look at the flowing bow on top as well as the quiver and florals applied). A perfect pair with all the original gold intact (light natural tarnished areas consistent with age). Please note the quality of this pair is as good as e f caldwell and sterling bronze works which I also have for sale. See less
