Features a gilt border with precise natural and geometric repeating motifs circumscribing the edge of the plates, with unique hand-painted scenes depicting fish in various environments in the center of each piece. The color pallete is sophisticated and subtle, with incredible attention to detail and precision in overlapping various forms creating depth and narrative within each unique scene. The species of fish is noted on the verso in red ceramic, unique to each plate, which also bears the Lenox Maker's Mark. These plates are signed on the front surface "William Morley".
