The lithograph print Pop Art poster is published by The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Printed in 1985 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the 50 Years Anniversary exhibition It features an " Untitled " artwork image originally created by Thiebaud in 1967, private collection, courtesy Allan Stone gallery New York, copyright 1985 San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Wayne Thiebaud ( 1920 - 2021 ) is an American painter widely known for his luscious handling of paint, and brilliant colorful palette of works depicting commonplace objects that combined sensuousness, nostalgia, and a hint of melancholy. Thiebaud is associated with The Pop Art Movement because of his interest in objects of mass culture. Although his early works, executed during the 1950's and 1960's, slightly predate the works of classic Pop artists. He uses heavy pigment and exaggerated colors to depict his subjects, and the well defined shadows characteristic of advertisements are almost always included in his work. Art works by Thiebaud are included in the collections of many of the most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print framed Pop Art museum exhibition poster print measures 24 1/2" W X 24 1/2" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern navy blue satin finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent condition. The poster print is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light visible wear in the margin border area.
