American needlework marking sampler, featuring five sample alphabets and a numerical progression in contrasting styles and stitch. The sampler was stitched by Anna Woodbury, born 1839, and assisted by instructor Cynthia Hanson, born Cumberland, Maine in 1804. Archival mount and framed in a period Bird’s Eye maple beveled molding with gilt bezel.
