Keith Haring ( 1958 - 1990 ) was an incredibly vibrant American artist and social activist who's artwork responded to the 1980's Street culture by expressing concepts of birth, death, sexuality, and war. Haring's work was often heavily political and his imagery became a widely recognized vivid and iconic visual language of The 20th Century. Haring's close friends and inspirational contemporaries included Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Madonna all of whom he collaborated with in his lifetime. His artworks are included in the collections of the most important Modern Art museums worldwide.

Keith Haring's " Andy Mouse " depicting Andy Warhol as an utterly cool, larger than life cartoon mouse is a fitting homage from one Pop artist to another. Warhol and Haring shared a fascination for icons of Americana. Haring grew up drawing Mickey Mouse in his notebooks and dreamed of working at Disney, while Warhol wanted to be Walt Disney himself. By portraying Andy as a Mickey like figure, haring elevated his subject to American icon status ; an ubiquitous piece of culture and recognizable as Disney and the dollar bill. The artwork is considered highly significant in Haring's oeuvre, well regarded for its bold graphics, complex composition, sense of humor and Postmodern references to Pop iconography.

The rare vintage lithograph print collector's Pop Art poster features the official " KH " Estate seal of authenticity. It measures 23 1/2" W X 35 1/2" H. It is printed on high quality heavyweight paper stock with vibrant ink colors with a matte finish. It is in excellent new condition with very light signs of handling. It has never been framed. There is a small printers crease in the top margin edge, and in the lower margin field both with no break in ink color, that should not be noticeable when framed.
