Gorgeous A. Seguso Liquor decanter with a Rabbit or Squirrel (Rabbit with a Squirrel Tail?) blown glass bottle stopper. It is blown with Alexandrite Glass, which turns blueish under florescent bulbs, and has a gorgeous Purple Lavender Pink glow in natural light. The base is blown with a ground and polished pontil.

The decanter is in lovely condition. I'm not finding any damage. There is some light wear from age and use. A possible scuff, or light scratch here or there. The original tag is still attached, and the piece is marked " Made in Murano Italy for Luxardo on the bottom. It is dated as well, but not sure what the exact year is..1960, 1969? It's hard to make out - see pic.
The cork part is a bit rough, but it fits into the base fine. There is a small plastic cap rolling around in the base, I'm not sure if it's original to the piece.

The decanter stands at almost 12". The stopper is about 6.5" excluding the cork. The stopper weighs almost 3" lbs, and the base weighs almost 3 lbs as well - so almost 6 lbs, it is heavy!


This is a very special and hard to come by piece from this collection, and it's quite the show stopper! See less
