If you want to educate and motivate your child about protecting the endangered species, this is the piece of Art you have to hang in his room after a explanation about the subject. He will remember that all his life!
The bold colors, the hand-painted matching frame and the kangaroo with his babies will talk to your children imagination!
Felice Regan is a graphic artist from Boston Massachusetts. She is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art, earning a BFA. After graduating, she founded the Graphic Workshop, an artist’s collaborative. This collaborative grew out of a group of artists and designers who initially formed the Student Strike Workshop and were renowned for their protest posters on various issues in the early 1970s. In 1975, the World Society for the Protection of Animals employed the Graphic Workshop to create posters for their organization. The group created 25 limited edition silkscreen posters for their “Endangered Species’ series. The project, unfortunately, fell through, but Regan continued to finish the series. One such poster was Regan’s “Endangered The Kangaroo.” This poster series has become a trademark of the workshop and brings the public’s attention to the threat of the declining population of wild animals.
There is so much to admire with this piece. I enjoy Regan's use of bold colors, complimented with the hand painted frame done by the artist. It really ties it all together.
