Fredrik A. Kayser (1924-1968) for Vatne Møbler model #599 teak rocking chair. Norway, 1960.
Material is teak, cane, with a striking newly forest green wool upholstered seat cushion. Teak wood, original finish.
Slightly raked hand woven cane backrest with sprung seat, two distinctive rocking wishbone legs strengthened with upright supports featuring brass detail to underside of the seat.
Wonderful condition, presents beautifully. Light wear consistent with age and use. Very light scratches to base and frame. Structurally sound. Original mark, sticker label on the underside. A perfect compliment to any Mid Century modern decor.
