Mid century, modern Hungerford of Memphis dresser. Made of mahogany. Blond in color featuring 12 drawers and a large mirror measuring 32”x 56”. The top of the dresser has glass covering it, and originally there was antique lace placed under the glass that gave this an antique style. The Hungerford Furniture Company, based in Memphis, had a brief but notable history, including a photoshoot with Elvis Presley in 1956. The company was owned by the Simeon Rice Hungerford family and had planned to release an Elvis Presley furniture line in 1957, which ultimately didn't materialize. The photoshoot with Elvis was arranged by RCA to promote new at-home stereo systems.
