Up for sale is a large antique Chinese porcelain two-handled blue and white vase with collared mouth rim, overall decorated … Read more Up for sale is a large antique Chinese porcelain two-handled blue and white vase with collared mouth rim, overall decorated with blue-and-white palette on the ground of Geyao (Ge-Ware) crackled glaze with scholarly traditional motifs of pine-tree, deer, lingzhi fungus and flying crane, etc. representing the auspicious wishes for health and longevity, the rim, shoulder and the lower part decorated with three dark brown bands incised with wave and floral patterns, the tall neck decorated with molded lily buds and flanked with two brown handles molded in tree branch form, an apocryphal incised Ming-period Chenghua mark on the bottom, the vase displayed on a finely made antique hardwood base; early to mid 19th century, mid Qing Dynasty; in overall excellent condition with no damage or restoration; former private Upper East Side collection
