Wood type is cherry colored and believed to be shisham or blackwood (Dalbergia). The jewel box is openned by an attractive bronze metal knob at top. The jewel box is sturdy and in very good condition consistent with age and use. Would look lovely on a dresser or side table, or as a vintage gift. Maker's mark: Bombay, a store specializing in traditional European decor circa 1970- 2000s. Small white tag reads "26 - 113 Z Made in Taiwan" Dimensions 4 long x 4 wide x 5 high inches. See less
