I'm extremely pleased to offer for sale this gorgeous pair of two fine Chinese porcelain famille blanc serving platters with the following fine features:
- Main color is white with a myriad of other colors, including gold, blue, green, red, aqua, and tan
- Hand-painted left and right-facing cartouches of figural scenes, including city dwelling and flowers in central lobe
- Prominent gilt acanthus motif on galleries front and back and parcel gilt on scalloped rims
- Braided handles with intertwined gold and white rope
- Each platter measures 12" wide (from handle to handle) x 8.5" deep x 3" tall
- These are quite substantial, weighing 3 pounds 3 ounces each
- In outstanding condition, with no significant or noteworthy imperfections, but rather wear indicative of normal age and use
- Dark blue maker's mark underglaze shows HW inside a crest beneath a crown
