About The Poster: From a book called Portlock's New Collection of Voyages and Travels, published in London in 1780. I don't have very many items like this, but this one caught my eye, as much for it's vintage charm as for the book from which the plate was taken. Described as containing"new, authentic, entertaining, instructive, full and complete historical accounts" of voyage in the mid to late 1700s, it is a book filled with glimpses of what was then called the New World. Fascinating stuff.
A detailed print, in very good condition. From a private collection.
It will frame up beautifully and would, we feel, add a sense of charm, history and elegance to any room. Perfect gift for a family lawyer!
