The … Read more Offering a complete set of a series of four framed Lithographs under glass from the 1930s entitled Canadian Girls. The set is from original pastel paintings and features the Halifax Girl as a sailor at the steering wheel of a ship, the Toronto Girl at the helm of a horse drawn buggy, the Montreal Girl ice skating with a fur muff and the Winnipeg Girl with a hockey stick. W each is presented with a deep olive green ground. The set was framed and sold by iconic retailer John Wanamaker’s store. Wanamaker’s was the first large retailer in the USA and was known for many retailing firsts including to use price tags. Each frame has a sticker on the back with a line for a price. Each lithograph print Carrie’s the original painting initials PGM of the artist.
